WORLD MISSION SUNDAY 2008 –
ARCHDIOCESAN EUCHARISTIC CELEBRATION
This year, the Archdiocese celebrates World Mission Sunday on the theme of “Bringing the Light and hope of Christ to the World”. Archdiocesan Eucharistic Celebration for World Mission Sunday will be held on Sunday 19th October 2008, 6pm, at the Cathedral of Good Shepherd, A-Queen Street, Singapore 188533.
Main celebrant, His Grace Archbishop Nicholas Chia, will be presenting prizes to the winners of Mission Photography Competition after the Eucharistic celebration.

- MISSION PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION
In conjunction with World Mission Sunday 2008, ACMA has organised a photography competition which ended in July 2008 - “What Mission in our Catholic Church means to You?” The response was encouraging and we received entries from lay Catholics as well as from the religious groups.
Winning entries will be displayed at the main entrance of the Cathedral of Good Shepherd, A-Queen Street, Singapore 188533, from Saturday 11th October 2008 to Sunday 19th October 2008.

 MISSION AWARENESS PROGRAMME 2008 (MAP2008)
A journey to discover your Christian mission….
MAP2008 aims to give participants a better understanding of Mission and the different ways you can participate in missionary work. Fr Lawrence Radice, a Maryknoll missionary priest who has served in Africa, Thailand and China, will be facilitating the programme. Other religious and lay missionaries have also been invited to share their experiences with you. By holding the programme in Pattaya, Thailand, you will also get the opportunity to witness missionaries at work in the field.
15th – 22nd November 2008 @ Pattaya, Thailand. Cost of $650/person includes return airfare and tax/charges, land transport, meals and lodging. (Programme details and costs may be subject to change depending on airfares and transport operators. However, you will be informed about such changes before cost is incurred.)
